Search Engine Optimization Does Not Equal Traffic
There are many that people that I have been speaking with lately that believe that if a web site ranks for a searched term, that site will automatically produce traffic. This is just not so. Most of the factors that contribute to the engagement of an internet users interests are based on user confidence. Preferred placement in the search engine results pages is necessary to obtain visibility, but that alone does not equate to a level of trust which has been proven as being paramount in creating personal or business related relationships. Having a site that ranks well is necessary to attract potential traffic to the site. However, without gaining a level of trust in the user, the desired effect of converting users into customers or subscribers may remain elusive.
