Moved Our Site Back To WordPress

About two years ago our shop was dedicated to working with the Drupal CMS system. We have a team that was dedicated to development and design with Drupal. When we aquired SEOFortlauderdale.com, we moved it from it’s existing WordPress installation and migrated to Drupal in hopes of building a rich community and content management system. In the time that has passed, we have seen this site evolve into a blog (vs. a community). Naturally, WordPress, having it’s origins as a blogging platform, is better suited for this purpose. But more importantly, with the release of WP 3.0 the capabilities as a content management system have exploded for WordPress.

In addition, the management and maintenance associated with WordPress is much more streamlined and easier for an average user (read: not a developer). And as such, with your site being easier to maintain, it is easier to apply security updates and you will be more apt to do this on a timely basis.

Ahhh WordPress… We are glad you are back.

Agreed. WordPress is a much better platform for a traditional blog. Drupal is overly complicated for a such a simple purpose. ‘Grats on the acquisition of SEOFortlauderdale.com, I’m a bit jealous ;)
