Search Engine Optimization Does Not Equal Traffic

Many people think that if a website ranks for a searched term, that it will automatically produce traffic.
This is simply not so.
The majority of the factors that contribute to the engagement of an online users interests are based on user confidence. Preferred placement in the search engine results pages (SERP) is necessary to obtain visibility, but that alone doesn't equate to a level of trust which has been proven as being extremely important in creating personal or business relationships. Developing a site that ranks well is essential to attract potential traffic to the site. However, without gaining a level of trust inthe visitor, the desired effect of converting users into customers or clients may remain difficult.
