It’s no surprise I prefer doing SEO for Lawyers, Attorneys and Law Firms than other verticals. Generating leads for lawyers is a win-win situation. The lawyers are happy - well relatively anyways, and the cost for SEO services are justifiable. How so? Well it’s quite simple. Let’s say that a personal injury lawyer makes anywhere from around $10,000 to let’s say $25,000 per case - giving the benefit of the doubt. Of course these numbers are merely estimates. Any ways, if a lawyer generates one $10,000 client a month from their web site, that’s $120,000 a year. Granted, the cost of an SEO campaign to obtain the rankings required to get those leads will probably cost at least %25 of that, that’s still $90,000 a year. Not bad. So SEO for lawyers is a good investment.

To be honest? I think that law is a pretty interesting subject - especially criminal law - It’s fascinating to me. Okay, so maybe I’m a bit of a geek, so what, sue me. Furthermore, since I do a lot of work as a content writer too, it’s a good subject to write about - lot’s to say.

Now it’s not always about the lawyers. They may have a genuine interest in generating more clients for altruistic reasons, though I wouldn’t bet on it - I too have to keep things rolling along in order to pay bills - I SEO for Lawyers, to eat. There’s a lot of lawyers out there, and they all need to generate more clients to keep their firms. So, as long as there’s lawyers, I’ve got work.

There aren’t a lot of marketing verticals that I can say I actually like working in. Perish the thought, but lawyers are usually pretty cool people. They even have the best jokes - though it’s usually about themselves. Law firms are nice environments too. You don’t see too many successful lawyers slumming it - they normally work in classy buildings and offer you coffee - take you to lunch - etc, etc,

I recently spoke to my good friend Chris Menke of METAPILOT about some work that we have, when he showed me an article that he recently wrote on … coffee. At first I was thinking to myself … “What the f*#k could be interesting about coffee?” … But then I started to think … “Well … I do like coffee … maybe it wouldn’t be too hard …” So, I put my prejudices aside and went on with my typical cynical perusal of the first opening paragraph long enough to be hooked in to Chris’s rather dreamy and highly visual depiction of the life of an Arabica hopeful.

Working in conjunction with Cyber Technologies, Florida Search Engine Optimization performed the initial in page optimization campaign for the shiny new Student Loans web site, SchoolLoans.com. The new site was created as a resource for students to compare and obtain a variety of both Federal Student Loans and Private Student Loans.

I find web sites that make it simple for their readers and visitors to use, perform much better than those that are complex or overly saturated with needless graphics, imagery, and content. SchoolLoans.com follows the simply effective concept quite well. The site is very easy to navigate, the visitors are offered clear and simple web 2.0 style contact forms (Geriatric Buttons), and there is a large variety of Student Loan content on the site to offer the reader any information they may need to make an educated decision on Student Loans.

I finally got my new project launched and I think it’s really cool. A while back I decided that I wanted to create a site that would have posts from all of the SEO’s so I could find out what’s going on in the industry really fast. Then I decided that it might be a great way to build a site that I could eventually monetize if it gained enough traffic and popularity.

I decided to build SeoMasterList.com in ColdFusion. Those that know anything about me … will not be too terribly surprised - I love CF. The original code for the site is from Ray Camden’s ColdFusionBloggers app …

Really all the site does is collect feeds from all of the SEO sites in a list. Simple … But who knows … SeoMasterList.com, might turn out to be the goldmine that let’s me retire early … Till then - I’ll probably just keep on rolling out new ideas until something good happens …
