WordPress Blank Screen of Death Solved
For many moons I have been having problems with the WordPress blank screen of death. It seems that there are lot’s of problems that can cause your WordPress install to go south. After removing my wp-config file, the core site files and removing, installing, activating and deactivating plug-ins, scouring through days worth of blog posts … I came up empty for a solution to the dreaded problem. However, I “think” I have finally found the issue with my installs. However, I’m not 100 percent confident … yet.
Back around WP 2.5 … I blogged about having White Out issues after I upgraded … I didn’t know why the hell it happened … after several attempts to the obvious solutions on the WP codex and on several blogger’s sites, I gave up … I just figured that it must be some thing with my permissions or something I just couldn’t find … until I decided to take the advice of one developer that said to log on to my server through a bash shell and upgrade WP through bash … so, I did … and apparently it worked.
In a nutshell, my problem seems to be from transferring files to my server through FTP … for some reason the files are not getting to the server in the right condition. So, I decided to follow the directions for the bash install of WP …
All I can really say is that I am definitely going to be learning my Linux shell commands from here on out … as soon as I ran the command … the damned tarball was downloaded … The files were then decompressed in a flash by simply running
tar http://wordpress.org/lastest.tar.gz
This was the fastest damned upgrade I could have ever imagined and better yet … my problem disappeared …

Matt Cutts Reveals How to Get Free Links
Matt Cutts reveals on his Blog, how webmasters can easily get backlinks to their site that they may have not even known existed. The trick is not even a secret. It’s wide open for all to see in Google WebMaster tools. Right from within Google’s dashboard, there is a field for web crawl errors.
If there is anyone linking to any of your 404 pages, you can easily drill down in to the data and find the URL of the site that offered you a link. This is too easy. From there, all you have to do is contact the owner of the site, and ask them if they mind linking to your “new” page. Just don’t forget to thank them for linking in the first place.

SEO for Lawyers » Attorneys » Law Firms
It’s no surprise I prefer doing SEO for Lawyers, Attorneys and Law Firms than other verticals. Generating leads for lawyers is a win-win situation. The lawyers are happy – well relatively anyways, and the cost for SEO services are justifiable. How so? Well it’s quite simple. Let’s say that a personal injury lawyer makes anywhere from around $10,000 to let’s say $25,000 per case – giving the benefit of the doubt. Of course these numbers are merely estimates. Any ways, if a lawyer generates one $10,000 client a month from their web site, that’s $120,000 a year. Granted, the cost of an SEO campaign to obtain the rankings required to get those leads will probably cost at least %25 of that, that’s still $90,000 a year. Not bad. So SEO for lawyers is a good investment.
SEO for Lawyers » Is Interesting
To be honest? I think that law is a pretty interesting subject – especially criminal law – It’s fascinating to me. Okay, so maybe I’m a bit of a geek, so what, sue me. Furthermore, since I do a lot of work as a content writer too, it’s a good subject to write about – lot’s to say.
SEO for Lawyers » Is in Demand
Now it’s not always about the lawyers. They may have a genuine interest in generating more clients for altruistic reasons, though I wouldn’t bet on it – I too have to keep things rolling along in order to pay bills – I SEO for Lawyers, to eat. There’s a lot of lawyers out there, and they all need to generate more clients to keep their firms. So, as long as there’s lawyers, I’ve got work.
SEO for Lawyers » Is Cool
There aren’t a lot of marketing verticals that I can say I actually like working in. Perish the thought, but lawyers are usually pretty cool people. They even have the best jokes – though it’s usually about themselves. Law firms are nice environments too. You don’t see too many successful lawyers slumming it – they normally work in classy buildings and offer you coffee – take you to lunch – etc, etc,
SEO for lawyers » Rocks
Keeping lawyers happy is pretty easy. Bring them cases and they usually treat you fairly well. Now, some will never understand – you can’t win em’ all, but the majority are very generous when you help their firm keep clients coming in. All in all » SEO for lawyers » Rocks.
If you are a lawyer and you like the way I buzz worded “SEO for Lawyers” let me know about it – just as most of the lawyers I know – I love to be showered with praise and recognition. If however, you didn’t care for it, please comment about it here.
